The number of police raids on industrial cannabis farms has fallen by over 17% in the final one year, Freedom of Knowledge figures suggest.
Jamie Barnes, from Dagenham, used to be convicted in 2015 of cannabis cultivation after he grew the drug in his council flat. He used to be given a suspended sentence and probation. He informed the Victoria Derbyshire programme he used to be more shy about the prospect of being robbed by fellow criminals than being caught by police.
